We have the pleasure to invite you to our second Field Day of this season on Thursday the 20th of June 2013. The event will be held in cooperation with the Department for Agricultural Information and Media Extension, and is scheduled to take place at the NedaLibya demonstration field in Garabuli.

Programme Preview:

• • 10:00 - Opening Ceremony & welcome by Dr. Eng. Ghait Mohammed Ghait who will present this year's experiences with HZPC-varieties Hermes and Taurus grown for the chips line of SunBula Company, followed by an introduction to the development and production of new varieties within HZPC, and video presentation of the HZPC Company Profile;
  • 11:00 - Lecture 'Nutritional Needs of the Potato Crop' by Eng. Mamun Dweek of Tajuri Company
  • 11:30 - Presentation 'Common diseases affecting the potato crop in Libya' by Eng. Hassan Hadad and Eng. Khaled Moussa Abussnaina of Tajuri Company;
  • 12:00 - Presentation of Grimme Company on mechanised potato production;
  • 12:30 - A tour of the trial field with a demo harvest to view the new potato varieties up close; as well as demonstration of the Grimme Potato Planter GL 32 E and Ridging Hiller GH, and demonstration of the Dacom weather station.
  • 13:30 - Tombola & Closing Ceremony
  • 14:00 - Lunch
